Return Eligibility
30-Day Return Window
We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered. If 30 days have passed since delivery, we may not be able to issue a refund or exchange.
Condition Requirements
To qualify for a return:
- Unopened and Sealed: Cardamom must be unopened, in its original food-grade sealed packaging, and untampered with.
- Proper Storage: Items must be returned in a condition that shows proper storage—away from heat, moisture, or contamination.
- Original Packaging: Include all original packaging, batch labels, and documentation.
- Proof of Purchase: Provide your invoice, order confirmation, or order number.
- Return Authorization: A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returns. Returns without an RMA may be rejected.
Returns that do not meet the above conditions may be declined or subject to a handling fee.
Non-Returnable Items
Certain items are not eligible for return:
- Opened Food Products: For hygiene and food safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on opened bags or resealed items.
- Customized or Bulk Orders: Special orders made to specification (e.g., private-label or bulk packaging) are non-refundable unless defective.
- Clearance Stock: Any item marked as Final Sale or Clearance is not returnable.
- Gift Cards: ABIE Cardamom gift cards and store credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

How to Initiate a Return
- Contact Us: Email us at info@abiecardamom.com with your order number, product details, and reason for return.
- Receive RMA: We will review your request and issue a Return Authorization with instructions and, in some cases, a prepaid label.
- Package Carefully: Repack the item in original condition with all labeling and documents. Clearly label the package with the RMA number.
- Ship the Return: Ship the package using the carrier and method provided or as instructed. If using your own courier, ensure it is trackable and insured.
- Inspection & Processing: Once received, we will inspect your return and notify you of the outcome within 3–5 business days.
Return Shipping Costs
- If the Error is Ours: If you received the wrong item, or the product was defective or damaged, we cover all return shipping costs.
- If the Return is Customer-Initiated: For reasons like ordering the wrong quantity or change of mind, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. You may use our label (deducted from your refund) or ship with your own courier.
- International Orders: Customers outside our domestic region must cover return shipping unless we shipped an incorrect or defective item. Clearly mark returns as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs charges.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method and cover:
- The full purchase price of eligible items
- Any applicable taxes
- Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error
Timeline:
- Processing: Within 5 business days of receiving your return
- Bank Clearance: 5–10 business days, depending on your payment provider
- We will notify you by email once your refund is issued
Partial Refunds or Deductions:
- Products returned with damaged packaging, or without full documentation, may be subject to partial refunds
- Shipping costs for voluntary returns (if we provided the return label) will be deducted from your refund
Exchanges
We offer exchanges for eligible items within the 30-day window:
- To request an exchange, follow the same return steps above and indicate your desired replacement.
- We will ship the replacement after the original item is received and inspected.
- If you need the new item urgently, we may ask you to place a new order, and we’ll refund the original item when it’s returned.
- Exchange shipping is covered by us if the issue was ours. Otherwise, standard return shipping terms apply.
Store Credit & Gift Returns
- If you prefer, we can issue a store credit instead of a refund. Store credits never expire and can be used toward future purchases.
- For gift returns, the recipient may receive store credit for the value of the return without involving the original purchaser, provided order info is available.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your cardamom arrives damaged or compromised:
- Report the issue to info@abiecardamom.com within 7 days of delivery
- Attach photos showing packaging, label, and damage
- We will send a replacement or refund, and may request the item be returned
We may not require returns for low-value items or minor defects but will always ensure your satisfaction.
International Returns
- Standard 30-day return period applies
- Buyer is responsible for international return shipping unless the return is due to an error or defective product
- Mark as “Returned Goods” on customs forms
- Original import duties/taxes are non-refundable, but you may contact your customs office for reclaim options
